STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREEMENT

• This forms an agreement between SHUBHA‛S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY and you.

• These terms and conditions apply to you booking a course place/online and any other matters arising from that application.

• They aim to outline our obligation to you and your obligation to us. Makeover Course dates and assessments may also be subject to change. 

PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS

1. All transactions should be made via one of the modes 

2. Course bookings are processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

3. To secure your place on a course, complete an online/offline registration form and submit it to SHUBHA?S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY with full payment (In any one of the payments modes mentioned in point ‘a’).

PAYMENT TERMS

• Payment is required in full at the time of booking.

• Please call us, to speak with our Course Advisor for more advice on our courses and payment options available.

• Please note we reserve the right to amend course prices or run promotions at any time, without prior notice.

• Once a booking is made, the price paid is final and no price difference can be refunded in the event of a later course price reduction.

REFUNDS

• All course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

• A participant on SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY courses undertakes to attend the full course, no refunds will be given at any stage throughout the course.

• If a participant, having started the course, then withdraws from the course for any reason, it is not guaranteed that the participant will be allowed to resume attendance. All course fees remain payable.

• SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY will make every effort to give participants reasonable notice in advance if the venue for an event is changed or cancelled.

• In the event of a course tutor falling ill or becoming unavailable to teach, SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY will endeavour to find a replacement tutor. If this is not possible, SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY has the right to cancel or postpone a course at short notice.

• Booked training is non-transferable to an alternative student. Please ensure the booking is made giving the correct name of the person attending the course at the time of making payment. 

• SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY is unable to offer refunds for cancellations outside of our control, i.e., adverse weather conditions, terrorist attacks, flooding, industrial action or Visa refusals. An alternative training date will be offered. If SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY should have to cancel your course for reasons outside of our control; The Beauty Academy will endeavour to give students at least 24 hours’ notice of any cancellation by telephone and/or text or email. The Academy is not responsible for any loss of income, accommodation/travelling costs students may incur due to the cancellation of courses.

CONDUCT DURING THE COURSE

• All participants are expected to abide by the SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY code of conduct and rules

• Attendance on a SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY course is conditional on receipt in full of the course fee before the start of the course. (Unless paying in instalments to which a written agreement, including a payment plan, must be signed, instalments agreed upon and written into the agreement.)

• Tutors may occasionally take photos/video along with audio of student work during training with express permission, for marketing/promotional purposes.

• Students will need to bring along their cold food for lunch and are recommended to remain at the centre, rather than go off-premises during agreed breaks to ensure you are available promptly for when training resumes. Currently, we are unable to provide refreshments, although toilet and handwashing facilities are available.

• Please ensure an enrolment form is handed to the tutor. Please make the tutor aware of any medical conditions or learning difficulties that may impact your learning (these should previously have been discussed at the time of booking to ensure suitability for the training). This can be discussed with the tutor upon arrival at the centre, in confidence. This will allow the tutor to best support you throughout the training day and make any adjustments possible to assist you to gain the most from your training.

• We can accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or theft of personal property; however rare. Therefore, we encourage students to leave all unnecessary valuables at home, remain vigilant to their belongings during training and take all property with them when leaving the centre. Students are responsible for the collection of lost items from the site, by appointment. We cannot post or deliver any lost property.

• Products/tools provided at the training centre remain the property of The Makeover Academy and should not be taken from the training centre at any time. Such will be treated as theft and reported to the authorities. Please work with the tools/products and within the facilities provided taking care to avoid causing deliberate damage or loss. Students may be held responsible for the cost of such loss/damage. Please wait until items are provided to you and no time should students access any staff only store cupboards or storage areas without the express permission of the tutor and/or without supervision. For reasons of health, safety and hygiene; please use products/tools/equipment only as directed and when prompted by the tutor. If asked to ‘down tools’, please ensure you comply with any instruction by ceasing immediately.

• Use of vaporisers or chewing of gum strictly prohibited within the training centre.

• If there are any reasons of belief, faith or religion which prohibit you from performing the conduct of rules of SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY, please get advice from our academy before booking.

• Be courteous and respectful to tutors and other learners. No use of foul language. Abuse of any kind including racism will not be tolerated. Please avoid discussion of any sensitive or unrelated topics during the training which may distract other students or at any time, which may offend others. While we operate a welcoming, friendly atmosphere on training days, student conduct should reflect that which would be expected by a beauty professional working within a salon environment since you are undertaking a professional skills course. Please ensure you work cooperatively and respectfully with all and take feedback/guidance seriously to allow you to acquire and demonstrate the required level of competence upon the training course(s). We appreciate learning new skills can sometimes be challenging but outbursts or disruptive behaviour (which may affect other students) will not be tolerated. Tutors will support you as best possible so please work with our staff to assist you, trusting in their professional knowledge and experience.

• Verbal, physical or written abuse will not be tolerated at any time and will result in an immediate verbal warning from the tutor. If the conduct continues, you will be asked to leave the training immediately, you will not receive your diploma/certification and will forfeit all course fees paid.

• Any issues will be handled in the strictest confidence but will not be permitted as grounds for any refund of course fees or for additional training, where this is not raised on the training day to enable remedy.

• It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that while attending the course and while on any third-party premises participant does not behave in an improper or disorderly manner or in a way which risks or cause property damage, or in a way which is in breach of the terms and conditions of those premises.

• In the event of such improper behaviour, SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY will have the right to require the participant to withdraw from the course. In such circumstances, SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY will be entitled to retain the course fee.

• The participant will also be liable to indemnify SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY for any expenses or other liability it incurs or suffers as a result of any such improper behaviour.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

• Please make us aware of any health conditions and/or medications are currently taken that may affect your practical training or assessment days. Please call us before booking so we can confirm course suitability for you.

• All students are required to disclose any medical conditions at the time of booking, which will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence. Some conditions may impede the ability to participate fully within a course. An important part of training is to deliver and receive treatments.

• Adjustments will be made to accommodate medical conditions where possible and practical. Failure to disclose known medical conditions at the time of booking or to provide a female model where requested, which later prevent participation in a particular course may result in forfeit of course fees.

• The person who has signed the application form agrees to these terms and conditions and has the authority to do so. If he/she is not so authorised, he/she will still be personally liable for payment of the agreed fee and any other liability they incur or suffer as a result of their action.

You agree to take full responsibility for any harm or damage you suffer as a result of the use, or non-use, of the information, which was provided during your Training.

You agree that the SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY have not made any guarantees about the results of taking any action, whether recommended during training or not. The SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY provide educational and informational resources that are intended to help their students succeed in their work or business and otherwise. You nevertheless recognize that your ultimate success or failure will be the result of your efforts, your particular situation, and innumerable other circumstances beyond the control and/or knowledge of the SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY.

You also recognize that prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Thus, the results obtained by others – whether clients or customers of the SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY or otherwise – apply the principles set out by SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY are no guarantee that you or any other person or entity will be able to obtain similar results.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

YOU AGREE TO ABSOLVE THE COMPANY OF ANY AND ALL LIABILITY OR LOSS THAT YOU OR ANY PERSON OR ENTITY ASSOCIATED WITH YOU MAY SUFFER OR INCUR AS A RESULT OF USE OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY VIA TRAINING/COURSE/VIDEOS/AUDIO/E-BOOKS /OR THE RESOURCES YOU MAY DOWNLOAD FROM OUR WEBSITE. YOU AGREE THAT THE SHUBHA'S MAKEOVER STUDIO AND ACADEMY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY TYPE OF DAMAGES, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EQUITABLE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGES FOR USE OF THE SUCH INFORMATION.

THE INFORMATION, SOFTWARE, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES INCLUDED IN OR AVAILABLE THROUGH THE WEBSITE MAY INCLUDE INACCURACIES OR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS.
